Amongst tired facades there are signs of renovation and rebirth.  New coats of paint enliven and rejuvenate, highlighting mouldings and fine architectural lines; the past brought up to present!

‘Barrio La Comercial’ is a residencial area of suburban Montevideo, with apartment blocks, and terraced and detached houses dating from the beginning of the twentieth century, many of them in the Art Deco style.
